Whereas most of the mar­ket has lever­aged lousy design to turn LEDs into a dis­pos­able prod­uct, Dyson wanted to ele­vate the LED to a post-disposable elec­tronic trea­sure, an heir­loom light that could be passed from one gen­er­a­tion to another.
