The future of the web is HTML5. … We think H.264 is an excellent format. In its HTML5 support, IE9 will support playback of H.264 video only.
I think Motorola’s i1 is the only one. Android 1.5 is a downer but if you’re looking for rugged, MIL SPEC 810F should do the trick.
There are 117 mobile phone models made by Motorola! Compare that to Apple’s one (or three if you want to be picky: 8GB 3G, 16GB 3GS, 32GB 3GS). Does Motorola think there is a market for all 117 models? I think the problem may be that Motorola isn’t thinking at all. I say that not because I dislike Motorola (I still use a RAZR V3 and would like a keyboard-less Droid). Maybe we can see better models when Motorola decides 117 is too much and bring the number down to around, say 10. Source: Motorola
Simply put:
RIM and Sony Ericsson tied for 4th when using the single-digit market share metric, but RIM is in fact ahead since it sold 100,000 more. Bear in mind this includes all mobile phones. If you break out smartphones, the fastest growing segment, the story is a bit different. FYI, the largest mobile phone supplier in the US is… Apple. Source: IDC
