Henge: MacBook Docking Station

Slide your MacBook into the Henge Dock and you won’t need to reconnect a single cable and be reconnected to all of them. The only and really big concern for me is that I would rather use the display that comes with the MacBook.

iPad 3G: Setting Up New Cellular Data Account

Apple has put up a step-by-step guide to setting up cellular data service for the iPad 3G. Coupled with AT&T’s contract-free month-to-month 3G service the whole process seems simple enough.

ASUS Eee PC T101MT Review

Joanna Stern @ Engadget:

What can we say? We wanted the Eee PC T101MT to be that perfect tablet / netbook mutt. But for $499, we simply cannot recommend it. Sure, you can upgrade to Windows Home Premium for a bit more cash, but at that point you’re spending $550 and still getting a pretty shoddy touchscreen experience.

One major focus of enabling touch on a convertible tablet is to make the touch experience as good as possible. Not so in the case of ASUS’ Eee PC T101MT.

Pixel Qi Receives 2010 IEEE ACE Award

Pixel Qi received the award for “Emerging technology offering the greatest potential for financial success.” Kudos.

Mary Lou Jepsen:

Our initial manufacturing partner did get slowed down in the midst of the economic crises and that did effect our ability to ramp to the schedule our higher volume customers wanted. We are beyond this now thanks to strong pull from these customers: some of the largest computer companies in the world and also from the broader community who want our screens now! We are scaling to multiple manufacturers (and beginning to ramp production) to the meet the strong demand.

JooJoo: Unlocked USB, 3G, Hackable Linux OS

Netbooks Will Outsell Tablets

ASUS CEO Jerry Shen doesn’t expect tablet sales to be more than netbooks. ASUS will also launch its Eee tablet in early June at Computex. Unfortunately Shen has disclosed that the first versions of the Eee tablet will be making use of Microsoft software, which I assume will be either Windows 7 or Windows CE. I don’t expect the Eee tablet to have a compelling experience no matter what UI is slapped on top of either OS from Microsoft. And in terms of tablet sales I’ll agree that sales won’t be more than netbooks, in 2010. Source: PC World

Android Central: LG’s Ally is an Android 2.1 smartphone sporting a 1GHz Snapdragon, a 3.5-inch AMOLED touch display, a slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 5MP camera. Rumor has it the Ally is coming to Verizon in mid-May.
