Nexus One Google Phone

Nexus: Brand of replicants in Blade Runner and in Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?. “Nexus One” is the user agent string attached to the new Google phone. In Blade Runner, Rachael was a Nexus-7 replicant. The Google phone is HTC-built, unlocked, runs Android 2.1 and slated for a January 2010 release. Working with HTC as a hardware partner and cool software working on top of Android Google came up with a mobile lab concept. Google dogfooded the new phone and gave a bunch of them to its employees, on a global basis.
