Sharp & Sony Cooperate in LED Backlight

Nikkei Business Daily reported that Sharp will supply Sony with LED backlight units (BLUs). The article does not specify for what application, but my guess is LCD TV. Sharp and Sony already work together: Sharp Display Products where Sharp owns 66% and Sony the rest. This development, if true, will strengthen ties between the two companies. Source: PRAD
