Thanks a bunch for the quick review! Some say the 40-inch and 46-inch use lower quality Sharp panels? Hmm... Guess it'd be safer to stick with a 52-inch if you can afford to.

I own the 52" 9704 (actually available for about 2 months). Street and online prices are lower than those mentioned (I've payed 2550 eur (VAT included) for the 52").

Quick review:

Plus:
Excelent HD conent display (I don't watch TV, so I won't comment on the SD/HD braodcast reception quality (In fact I haven't tested the built-in tuner at all :) - other owners (see the thread below) find it decent)
Excelent true blacks
Excelent motion handling
Ambilight Spectra 3 (some find it distoring (you can set a static backlight level/color or disable if you do) - I adore it)
No PC HDMI handshake problems
Decent sound system (althou I don't use mine, I have a dedicated speaker system)
Nice colors (after calibration)
No blooming
No (low) reflections
Decent viewing angles
Superb (imho) exterior design
Built-in Wifi/Ethernet and Internet features (Although I don't use those :) )

Some cons:
Default color gammut is not "on spot" (calibration needed, too much "blue tint" by default)
No HD MKV playback from usb/wifi/net
Some HW board failures (green strip) for a few owners (see the thread below)
Price (although it is a premium tv)
Different (some say lower quality) sharp panel in 40" and 46" (some banding for a few owners)
Thick (the 52" is about 11 cm) and heavy (~50 kilos)

PS. Here's a very nice owners thread with lots of info:
