@mark_anetdesign Thank you for your comment. Please let me know how NEC's EA231WMi works out for you. The eIPS panel should be quite good: I remember strong colors and very little color shift while taking a look during CES.

Hi Jin, you are just about right... We are in process of getting bunch of new monitors. It seems to me there are all 23 eIps ones in the works but not 24icnh ones. So i finally got hold of somebody in LG, he told me that actually there wont be 24Inch eIps but 23inch ones due the manufaturing process. So I don't think we actually see any 24eips ones any time soon at least not from LG.

I am not sure if LG Display is working on a 24-inch version of its e-IPS LCD panel. I think there seems to be a slight trend away from 24-inch and back to the slightly smaller 23-inch. I'm not sure why but I think it has something to do with glass efficiency at larger TFT LCD fabs. In other words, multiple 23-inch LCD panels can be cut without a lot of waste of the glass substrate and in this case the 24-inch is just a hair too large for that to happen. This trend is piggybacking on the supply-side trend of manufacturing large LCD monitor panels from larger LCD fabs such as Gen 7. Just a guess.

This is a very interesting development, any idea if a 24" eIPS panel is in the works? Finally seems to be a chance for the general consumer to get excellent image quality without having to pay professional/business prices. Naturally in UK the prices will be massively inflated .. usually $1 = £1 even when the times were good.
