PeeWee PC’s Pivot Tablet Laptop weighs 3 pounds, is water resistant, drop resistant, has a carry handle and a 8.9″ touch LCD. The Pivot Tablet Laptop is powered by Intel’s Atom N270 running at 1.6GHz (so it’s a netbook).
The price seems to be slightly on the high side as you can get a full-blown HP TouchSmart tx2z for just a little more. HP’s got multitouch, a 2.4GHz AMD processor, a proper ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics processor and a whole bunch more. But it comes down to this: the larger more capable tx2z isn’t water or drop resistant and doesn’t include a handle–required features for kids (and many adults too!).
