Ziris Canvas: PlayStation 3 Digital Signage

During last week’s Screen Expo, Sony Professional presented Ziris Canvas, a digital signage software that combines the graphics power of the PlayStation 3. The Screen Expo was held at Kensington Olympia (pictured to the right) in London. The PS3-driven digital signage system can display can display content on HD displays using any size, shape and orientation. Sony showcased a nine 42″-47″ LCD monitor system.

Stability and high image quality is provided by the PS3′s Cell Processor. “The product is a great example of using a Sony consumer technology, PS3, in a serious business application, to create stable performance and oustanding computing power,” stated Josh Honda, digital signage solutions senior manager, Sony Professional.
