The world’s first handheld WiMAX device in the US. That’s according to Samsung. Samsung‘s Mondi is a MID (Mobile Internet Device) and was formally called SWD-M100. Mondi will connect using Clearwire’s Mobile WiMAX network or just Clear. The OS? WinMo 6.1. Or 6.5. Not sure. As you can see from the picture above the Mondi has a slideout QWERTY keyboard that will no doubt be useful. The D-pad will make navigating the wide LCD handy as well. No detailed specs at the moment.
