Samsung announced on January 5, 2009 that it will be unveil­ing the world’s thinnest LCD TV with a LED back­light at CES 2009: the LUXIA LED TV. The ultra-thin LCD TV will be just 6.5mm thick with sizes rang­ing from 40″ to 55″. 6.5mm… that is REALLY thin. Other fea­tures will include the company’s 240Hz MotionPlus tech­nol­ogy mak­ing sure that motion blur is com­pletely oblit­er­ated.
