Asus‘ VW193T is a 19″ wide LCD monitor sporting a 1440 x 900 pixel format. At 300 cd/m2 it is quite bright and the 1600:1 contrast ratio is very good for a LCD monitor (it might be dynamic contrast). The 160/160 viewing angles are a bit limited, but like I have been saying for a little while: it doesn’t matter as long as you’re sitting right in front of the monitor. There are both DVI-D and VGA connections. The really big news about the VW193T is that you can get it for just $60! Make sure to checkout using Google Checkout and you get an additional discount of $20 on top of the $50 mail-in-rebate. If you’re in the market for a LCD monitor for simple office applications or the ocassional gaming or for your young children, this deal will be very difficult to beat.
