Samsung’s LN40A500 is a 40″ LCD TV sporting a pixel format of 1920 x 1080. The LN40A500 might be a slightly older model but it has some very good features: great viewing angles (178/178), fairly fast response times (5ms) and good dynamic contrast ratio. So what does it lack? 120Hz frequency, one more HDMI connection, and the new swanky Touch of Color design theme (some, like I do, like simple and black). If you’re not into watching sports all the time and don’t need to connect more than one gaming console to the TV, the LN40A500 is a fantastic buy right now: just $799.99 at Circuit City!
