Seiko Epson has developed a 3D display for mobile phone applications. The 3D display does not require 3D goggles and is based on lenticular lenses that are placed on the pixels so that your left eye sees a slightly different image from the right eye and giving the fused image a 3D effect. The 3D display sports a pixel format of and incredible 1024 x 768 on a 2.57″ LCD. The resolution of the display is extremely high at about 500ppi. Seiko Epson expects to commercialize the 3D display in 2010.
