Meridian’s 810 front projector is touted as the reference video system by the company. The 810 displays an image with a pixel format of 4096 x 2400 or 4K2K totaling 10 megapixels. Finally, you can get most of the pixels on your digital images taken by your Canon EOS-1Ds to show up on screen! The 810 makes use of three 1080p scalers and pumps out an amazing 4K2K image via JVC sourced D-ILA engine. The contrast ratio is 10,000:1 and the brightness is super bright at 4000 lumens. Now, for the shock: the 810 will cost you $185,000.

It’s expensive, but it’s quiet, sharp, and the scaler really fills in where the source is missing. A very compelling combination - and a great use of this technology. If you have the money . . . you owe it to yourself to consider it!
