Dell S2409W: 24

Dell is moving toward 16:9 in a big way by introducing a 24″ LCD monitor with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The pixel format typically found in 24″ LCD monitors is 1920 x 1200 with a 16:10 aspect ratio, but to get to 16:9 you need to make it a bit shorter (or wider) by lopping off 120 vertical pixels. The result? 1920 x 1080, the same as 1080p LCD TVs. Don’t expect great viewing angles because this 24″ uses a TN LCD technology, but the viewing angles aren’t so bad at 170/160. Other than the 16:9 aspect ratio, there isn’t that much to write home about.
