The pixel format of Vizio’s VP322 is 1024 x 720. The XGA-type, but not quite. So, don’t go thinking that this plasma TV will show off the new HD channels you’ve been subscribing to. To properly show 720p content at a 16:9 aspect ratio, you’ll need a pixel format of 1280 x 720. Thanks Sam K for the heads up.

VIZIO has done it again. The company is busting out its VP322 for just $599. The VP322 32″ plasma TV is available in Wal-Mart stores. The specifications are not going to blow your socks off, but at that price, it’s not a bad deal. The VP322 does have a cool feature: a dynamic contrast ratio of 30,000:1 that will make the images on the uber-cheap plasma TV not so bad. I’m still hoping there will be a plethora of $499 plasma TVs later this year.

I’m not sure what you mean by “pixel format” in the VP322 specs you have listed above but the display resolution is not 1366 x 768. According to Vizio’s website the native panel resolution is 1024 x 720. You can see that on the details tab of the following page.
