Lenovo’s ThinkPad SL series come in three sizes, but I’m most interested in the 13.3″ version. The pixel format of 1280 x 800 is pretty much standard; I would have preferred the 1440 x 900 from the X300. How fast the Core 2 Duo CPUs will be running is unknown as of yet. I would guess that battery life would be compromised, but most would prefer a discrete NVIDIA GeForce 9300 GPU. The WiMAX and WWAN connectivity would boost your ability to connect from anywhere, for a price. A Blu-ray option on the 13.3″ ThinkPad SL with just 1280 x 800 pixels? Doesn’t make sense. And it doesn’t make sense even for the 1680 x 1050 option on the 15.4″. There is no mention of a LED backlight. From the looks of it, the SL series will be the bulkier, uglier, fatter, but more powerful version of the X300.
