Philips, I thought, was out of the hardware game, but I think they are enamored with 3D. The 22″ stereoscopic LCD monitor seems to be geared to the gaming market. No, not the person person shoot ‘em up gaming, but the Las Vegas-style gaming, just a guess looking at the picture. Of course, first person shooting games might sound like a terrific application too.

Philips’ WOWvx technology uses its 2D Plus Depth technology that provides additional occlusion information for a real 3D look-around effect. You can see this and other 3D products at InfoComm 2008.
